The TTVM has been initiated to be an innovative solution B2B online marketing platform for Thai tourism operators (sellers) to register and create their online business profiles as well as any other essential information. Its features are being enhanced to include business negotiation functions; such as, demand matching, proposal submission system and chat box.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “Due to the situation of the COVID-19 that has impacted right across the travel and tourism industry, it’s undeniable that the way of travel and trade doing business is being changed and more challenged. TAT is pleased to provide this platform with the aim to support our private sector businesses to get ready for the new norm, which will be a new way of doing business that will emerge. Moreover, the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+), our annual flagship travel show was cancelled this year. As such, this project will implement the first official online tourism marketplace.

“As we strive to convert crises into opportunities, we can see it having many advantages; such as, no limitation on the number of sellers and buyers, available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. This platform also allows business to be conducted without the risk of uncontrollable external events. It can also be a useful platform for monitoring trends, research and statistics, especially the usage of Big Data for growing and tapping new sources of business.”

For more information, Mr. Siripakorn Cheowsamoot, Deputy Governor for Digitalisation, Research and Development, TAT will introduce this platform in the TAT Webinar on 25 May, 2020, at 15.00-16.00 Hrs. For further information of this platform, please visit the Thailand Tourism Virtual Mart.
